Transparent information about ARS (or absence of payment)
The Ukrainian Journal of Remote Sensing is a non-profit academic publication. All operating costs, including editorial management, digital preservation, DOI registration (via Crossref), and hosting on the OJS platform, are fully subsidized by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the State Institution «Scientific Centre for Aerospace Research of the Earth of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine» (CASRE)
As a result:
- No Article Processing Charge (APC): Authors are not charged a fee for submitting, reviewing, or publishing articles.
- Institutional support: The sustainability of the journal is guaranteed by long-term state funding provided for the dissemination of aerospace research and remote sensing results.
- Editorial independence: Despite institutional funding, the editorial board maintains full independence in decision-making processes, adhering to the recommendations of COPE and WAME.

Institutional Support
The Ukrainian Journal of Remote Sensing is an official academic publication of the State Institution "Scientific Centre for Aerospace Research of the Earth of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (CASRE). All strategic and editorial activities are supported by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Funding Model
The Journal operates under the Diamond Open Access model. This means that the Journal does not charge authors any Article Processing Charges (APCs), submission fees, or any other hidden costs. All operational expenses, including:
- Editorial management and professional peer review;
- Digital preservation and web hosting (OJS platform);
- Registration of Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) via Crossref;
- Full-text archiving and dissemination
are fully subsidized by the State Institution "Scientific Centre for Aerospace Research of the Earth of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine".

Editorial Independence
While the journal receives financial and administrative support from its parent institutions, the Editorial Board maintains full independence in its decision-making processes. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific merit, originality, and quality of the submitted work, in accordance with COPE and WAME standards.

The Journal is a non-profit scientific project. We do not accept commercial advertising or any form of third-party influence that could compromise the integrity of the published research.
